William C. Mcallister

July 7, 1925 — October 19, 2008

Funeral services for Mr. William "Bill" C. McAllister will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 1pm at Grace Brethren Church with Pastor Steve Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm tonight Tuesday at George Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 211 Park Ave, SW, Aiken. Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Brethren Church, 144 Talatha Church Rd, Aiken, SC, 29803.

Mr. McAllister, 83, of Aiken, died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at his residence.

Born in Jeanette, PA, he was the son of the late Hazel Cook Lentz and Marshel B. Lentz. He moved to Aiken in 1998 from Monroeville, PA. Bill was a member of Grace Brethren Church. He loved to play golf, travel the world, and sing. He served his country as a radio operator during World War II in the Army Air Force and was a retired tool and die maker from General Motors.

In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his wife of fifty three years, Alma Whitfield McAllister. He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Kenneth Yates, Aiken; Deborah Wayne Eubanks, Greer, SC; Beth L. Matthews, Chambersburg, PA; grandchildren, Courtney Yates Higgenbottom, Meredith Yates Jones, Amber Lynn Eubanks, Tyler William Eubanks, Bron Alan Eubanks, Brandon Matthews, and two great granddaughters.
